The Invest Experience

NUS Invest is dedicated to providing premier investor education and honing talented students for the investment and finance world. Each year, we build upon past experiences to bring the most value to members of our society.

Members of our society will embark on an exclusive one year long training programme that equips them with the skills to be industry ready, boosting their technical knowledge and soft skills necessary to secure industry placements. Members will be able to attend orientation programmes, Invest Academy, investment pitches, networking events, industry talks, interview workshops and more!

Our Events

Invest Academy

Invest Academy is an intensive programme where members will be taught Equity Research, Macroeconomics, Quantitative Finance and Fixed Income. We firmly believe that diverse skillsets and knowledge are necessary to excel in the future workplace, with equity research requiring macroeconomic knowledge to identify key trends in the industry, quantitative finance requiring knowledge of other asset classes, and many more multi-disciplinary skills being demanded. Invest Academy seeks to impart holistic education to our members, and acts as a primer that sets the foundation of their investments knowledge.

Investment Pitches

Technical knowledge can be further honed through practice. Each year, we invite alumni and industry professionals down to assess investment pitches from each research department. From their critical feedback and advice, members gain invaluable knowledge about best practices in the industry, and will come out of these sessions ready for internships, interviews, and competitions!

Networking Events and Speaker Sessions

At NUS Invest, we are dedicated to career guidance and development. Through networking events and speaker sessions, our members gain more knowledge about the different aspects of finance, enabling them to make better career decisions such as planning and securing of internships, understanding industry developments, and even making career switches to one that is more suitable.

NUS Invest Mentorship Programme

Alumni and senior students actively give back to the society through mentorship programmes. It is through these programmes that they are able to pass down their knowledge and experience to members who are just starting out.

Career Development

One of our primary goals is to ensure that members will be well equipped to pursue a career in future, be it in finance or otherwise. Our training programme also includes resume workshops, fireside chats, and internship talks where seniors will share tips on writing great resumes, how to craft out your career, and how to secure internships and full time roles.
